TRIP to IKEA...

Ok-so I got really behind in my posts

Each night that I knew I wanted to post something

I just put in a title to remind me and get the date right

and so the past few nights

I have just been trying to catch up

I have a few more to add...but the one from today is so good

that I have to skip forward for a day...

today Ben started back at soccer

and afterwards we went to IKEA for lunch

It was great! Tommy slept through lunch

so I actually got to eat my food hot...

and Ben...well-this is what he did as I was sitting a bench cleaning up Tommy

this is actually after he had been doing it for a while-

I had been watching him without him realizing it for a while and then

it just suddenly dawned on me that

I HAD to record it...

Enjoy...I did!

We finally got passes to the Aqarium again

and Benjamin is so excited ...

and when i asked him what he wished for
he replied-
I can't tell you that! it won't come true!!!


Tommy loved it was well-
but did have to take a nap
for a short while...

Happy Birthday Mom...

When my mother passed away

she wanted her ashes

spread out by the island

in Norway

so, water always makes me think

of her...

In her honor,

Tommy, Ben and I walked

out on the Purple People Bridge

to wish her Happy Birthday...

When we are sick in our house...

Not much to post the past two weeks...Tommy had his first "playdate" last Monday, and by the time we got home that evening, I started feeling bad. First there were really intense stomach cramps, which by Tues morning led to nausea, chills, sweats. an awful dry cough that killed me every time I endured it...I am so thankful that Bob was able to take Benjamin to work with him a few nights...because it was tough to deal...then Ben got sick, then Tommy, then Bob...here are a few pics ....

arrrgghghghg-when I turn 17 I am going to pick you up!

Oh yeah...and then what?

I am going to hug you and kiss you and tell you that I love you...!!!

Gotta love him!

The King of My Mountain

on a side note...

After using the restroom in the stall at church...
he flushed the toilet and then remarks
"Ahhh, now that was refreshing..."

Benjamin has been dying to go to a wishing well
When I asked him what he wanted to wish for
he said "a kitten"...
"where is a wishing well mom?"
"There is one at Jungle Jim's"

a few days later...
"Mom, when we go to the wishing well
at Jungle Jim's I'm going to wish that
you were not fat."
"why Benjamin?"
"Because I know that you want to
be in shape!"

A few months ago I could hear Benjamin doing something
in the other room and told him to stop
"How do you know what I am doing in here?"
"I have super mom powers and
I have eyes in the back of my head...
I can see everything..."
Today I was angry with him for walking
away from the table while eating...
"Ben! Get back in here and eat!"
as he came back over to his chair he fell...
"MOM! Did you do that to me?"
"What?"
"With your super powers!"
ha ha ! Need I say more???

A day at church

We had a great day at church today...
While Ben went to Sunday School,
I got to drink a cup of coffee
and met some great people.

In the evening the youth group had
a Loaded Potato Dinner
and the son of the woman who told me about LCR (the church)
offered to hold Tommy while I ate...
Suddenly he said -"hey, we match!"...
sure enough they did...if you look closely,
you will notice that Tommy's hair is even sticking up like Matt's !

He would not smile so I said-

hey-please step back a bit and smile for me...

I used the shoot and select option on the camera

which lets you take 8 or so pics...

Tommy adores Ben...he watches his every move...last night Ben was playing with a dinasour and suddenly Tommy started cracking up! It was fantastic! I hope you enjoy it as much as we did... there are 3 segmants because he kept getting ditracted by the camera and wanting to hold it...and eat it...
If you want to hear Tommy laughing you will have to turn off danny singing ...
