Where does the time go?

It is difficult to know what time it is

when you don't wear a watch,

I have taken it off so as not to scratch Tommy

and I feel like it is an experiment in life...

to slow down

and enjoy the moments...

which I am

trying to make myself do...

It has been about two weeks since I last posted and I didn't even realize it...
so, here are pics of the two boys...to catch up on the past few weeks...
in no particular order...

The Bible Watcher

Tonight I had a New Member class at the church I am joining...

Benjamin brought Jake to play with in the nursery while I attended the class.

On the way there Jake was having trouble with a toy-

since I was driving I could not help him so I said,

"Wait until we get there..."

to which Benjamin replied-"yeah, and the Bible watcher can help you..."

(talking about the church babysitter...)

My new favorite picture

This is my new favorite picture of Benjamin
taken by Sonja at the beach today...
~Worth a thousand words~
Enjoy!

A Day At The Beach...

Yes! That is what I said...today we went to the beach! I have lived in this city for 5 years now and never realized that we had such a great place so close by...it is only a 20 minute drive! Guess where we will be going frequently...
You guessed it!
East Fork Lake here we come!

Here are some pics taken by my friend Sonja B and some taken by me...she has the camera I drool over...and dream to own someday...a digital SLR...I think you will be able to tell the difference! :-)

Two very excited little boys...

Walking the dog
FUN, FUN, FUN, IN THE SUN, SUN, SUN

Happy Mommy moment!
I finally captured that great, melt-your-heart smile on camera!

We had a great day!

Hope you did too!

Pancake Day...

Today is Pancake Day! and I made Benjamin a "B" pancake...

He was so happy! I was actually kind of surprized...
his comments...

"Oh, mom! That was so nice of you! I LOVE it!! That was very thoughtful mom! You are the best...just for that you get THREE kisses! "

and he would not eat it...

"But that is why I made it Benjamin-for you to eat..."

"NO! I can't-I want to save it..."

"But it will go bad..."

"Well, then...I won't eat it if it goes bad..."!

the big "B" pancake

and Tommy was sleeping...

that was 11:00...

it is now 4:30...

can we say mom doesn't know what to do with herself?? :-)

don't you just want to hug him???

tommy and mommy...

I took this picture of Tommy and I
at IKEA one afternoon...
did not realize the back wall had a saying on it...
stating, quite simply...
enjoy...

Happy Birthday Mom!

As I walked into the kitchen a few days ago
Benjamin was sitting on a chair in the doorway and yelled
"Surprize! Happy Birthday Mom! I made you cupcakes!"

"the green one is yours because green is your favorite color..."

"and look!...I decorated! See the decorations...?"

family weekend in Louisville

We went to Louisville this past weekend to introduce Tommy to the family and family friends...and I never took any pictures Sat. at my Aunt Joan's house! It was a really nice afternoon , despite the fact that I missed the I-71 exit and ended up in Indiana before I realized it! yes...i have mommy brain...
Sunday we spent the afternoon with Grandma Tom and Benjamin had a great time...first we went to the park and then we went to her house ... she has two spare bedrooms upstairs. When we left he said that he wanted to spend the night there sometime in the boy room and that I could stay in the girl room...
here are some pics of Grandma Tom and the kids...

Arranging a bowl of flowers in the morning

can give a sense of quiet in a crowded day-

like writing a poem or saying a prayer.
