Sat. June 7, 2008...

What a great day we had today! Started off the morning with Benjamin giving Cally Love, Love...then we went to McDonalds for pancakes and playland...

Ben has started with the Summer Reading Program at the library and we went to get his first prize, some bouncy ball silly putty stuff...as we were driving away he starts singing..."I am an octopus, under the sea...Benjamin is what they call me..."...and I turned around to find him playing with the "sticky stuff" and it looks like an octopus...
Here he is holding Evelyn Ruth Dennen, born yesterday to our good friends Jeff and Abbie, and brother Victor...he was so good with her, and can't wait for our little Tommy to arrive! (Quite frankly, neither can I!)

Congratulations Jeff, Abbie and Victor!

After our visit to the hospital, he wanted to go to Red Lobster for dinner, and it sounded good to me...(I am a big fan...)-we get there and I am reading off the menu to him and he tells me he wants Lobster in the shell...I convinced him to get Crab legs , and could not resist taking a picture of him cracking the legs, and enjoying his dinner!

Of course, the empty shells ended up on his fingers...

Summer FUN has begun!

Ben and I joined Coney and this is him on some of the rides - he was thrilled! It is going to be a long hot summer and we are looking forward to the pool and summer fun! He startes taking swim lessons next week there as well.

A pic of Benjamin at the new Frog Bog exhibit at the Aquarium.
Hanging out with his buddy Grant at the pool...it was a rainy day, and we spent most of the time under the gazebo, but they had a blast anyway!
Ben and Jake in the shopping cart at IKEA. This was a long trip for everyone as the Smaland (Playland) was not open and we waited around the better part of 2 hours waiting... for it to be open.... The poor boys were so tired when we left!

Last Day Winnie The Pooh Preschool

The week after we came home from our visit in California was Benjamin's last week at Preschool. On their last day they had a picnic planned with the parents. This is a pic of Ben and some of his classmates singing "Slippery Fish"...as it rained really hard the previous day, we spread a blanket down on the floor and had our picnic in the classroom. It was fun!

Sons of Norway~17 Mai at the Home of Kari Poe

The day started out threatning rain, and I had a bit of a scare with the baby-yet, although we had a few raindrops, the day turned out to be beautiful...I wanted to get a picture of Benjamin with his bunad on, but he would have nothing to do with it...he wanted to throw the beanbags at the tin cans...
Our small yet proud group waved our flags to marching music up Belle Meade Farm Drive, to the gazebo and back to the house...here is just the kids on the front porch...

And last, but not least, Benjamin with Michael Luiso, eating ice cream with the sun shining bright...in Norway they were cold and building snowmen!
Happy 17 Mai !
